Three effects of the influence of foreign culture

In the world people cannot live alone; they need the communication. Cambodia is the same; as the developing country, we really need the others to communicate with, support and help, but the other cultures will influence our culture through communication. Arriving of foreign culture will result in three effects. First, it affects our culture. When people tend to follow others, they will slowly forget their own. Then from one generation to one generation, there will be no cultural inheritance left. Moreover our culture will be looked down by foreigners. If we ourselves don’t value it, the other people will not value it as well. Second is youth. They will be the first one who is affected. Day to day, they will be interested in new things, and they will no longer value on their own. As the result they will be blame by people in the society. One more thing youth will be in the danger when they follow some activities that are bad. It doesn’t mean that other cultures are bad, but some parts are not considered to be right or made dangerous things happen in our country. Lastly is society. The society wills loss identity. Culture is the identification for our country and society; this show who we are, and where we from. Then when we follow the others, we will lose our own and we will not know who we are any more. In addition, our society will face a big argument between younger and older generation because different generation have different thought. The older people love to take care, value and obey old tradition while the younger try new things all the time so conflict will occur. In conclusion, all this three effects are cursed by the influence of the foreign culture in our country.
